Deployment of AESync is a simple task if you have clear understanding of synchronization requirements and goals. You also need to have a basic knowledge of the tool. Complete the essential steps described below and this will ensure rapid and solid process of making your Sugar and Exchange synchronized. The sequence of the steps represents typical workflow, you can adjust it to your needs.
Download the latest version of AESync.
Become aware of AESync system requirements.
Launch AESync and create new synchronization profile. In the profile wizard go to the Connection tab and test connectivity as described in the documentation:
Enter user data on License&Users tab of the profile wizard and request trial license. After receiving your license file by email save it to disk and browse for it in "Path to license file" field of the License&Users tab.
After successful deployment of the license test user login data on the License&Users tab: press "Check All Logins" button.
Plan to merge existing data. I.e. bind similar Contacts, Accounts or Leads from Exchange and Sugar together. Ask yourself a few questions.
Note: If you have >1000 contacts consider buying extra services from GrinMark. We'll help to plan implementation and will guide you through the process.
Select synchronization scenarios on the Scenarios tab of the profile wizard. Review scenario options in the Synchronization Monitor. Decide if default values are ok or must be tweaked. Read more about scenarios and options: modifying scenarios, scenario options. If possible evaluate one scenario at a time.
Note: Appropriate configuration of scenario options greatly speeds up AESync implementation process.
Now you are ready to start synchronization. Set checkbox for the configured profile and start the synchronization service. You can close AESync user interface, the service will continue to run in the background.
You can start AESync user interface and open the Synchronization Monitor. Use it to view the synchronization journal.
