GrinMark synchronization server needs a working uninterrupted connection to Office 365 to ensure stable and prompt synchronization of data. By default user passwords expire in Office 365 within 90 days. So you may want to make GrinMark user password to never expire. To achieve the goal follow these steps.

Prerequisites

  • Windows PowerShell.
  • Download and install Microsoft Azure Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell. Before you can run the cmdlet to set the password to never expire, you have to download and install a module that will let you talk to your Office 365 organization.
    • Download and install the Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant for IT Professionals RTW from the Microsoft Download Center. Download the 64bit version.
    • Download and install the Azure Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell (64-bit version). Click Run download and install.

Step 1

Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator. In the command line type the command and press enter:

    Connect-MsolService

A prompt will appear. Enter credentials of a user with Administrator permissions.

Step 2

Execute the command to set GrinMark account password to never expire.

    Set-MsolUser -UserPrincipalName grinmark@contoso.com -PasswordNeverExpires $true
